Kosanji Temple
Kosan Wajo of Kosanji Temple became a Buddhist priest after the death of his mother, and the temple belonging to the Honganji sect of the Jodo Shinshu sect was built as a memorial to her. Various pagodas that had been built over more than 30 years since 1936 were reproduced with representative styles and methods of Buddhist architecture from the Asuka to Edo Periods. The Koyo no Mon gate that took 10 years to build and is a reproduction of the Yomei Gate in Nikko, excellent art works exhibited in the new treasure hall, and the approximately 50,000 square meter location with its seasonal beauty reminds you of heaven. The temple is also famous for cherry blossoms and autumn leaves.

Oyamazumi Shrine & Museum
The shrine is dedicated to the services for Oyamazumi no Okami God, brother of the Amaterasu Omikami god. The guardian deity for marine safety has been respected as the Japanese tutelary deity since ancient times keeping safe the whole national costal land of Japan. 100 huge Japanese cinnamon trees densely encloses the shrine ground. The main and worship hall, and Hokyo Into have been designated as national important cultural assets. The Treasury Museum situated next to the shrine stores a great number of important cultural assets including some national treasures.

Matsuyama Castle <Plan A>
Matsuyama Castle rises to the sky on top of Katsuyama Hill (132 meters above sea level), and is adored by locals as the symbol of Matsuyama City. The main plaza is well known for cherry blossoms and has long been a plaza of recreation and relaxation for the citizens. Matsuyama Castle was originally built by Yoshiaki Kato, who was one of the seven spear warriors who successfully fought at the battle of Shizugatake.

Shopping Mall "emifull MASAKI" <Plan B>
"emifull MASAKI" located outside Matsuyama city is the greatest shopping mall in Shikoku. There are about 190 shops (and restaurants) in "emifull MASAKI".
